The Historical Society in cooperation with the Town of Portsmouth held a commemoration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with a viewing of Portsmouth’s copy of the Declaration. At their March 21 meeting the Society Board of Directors approved a new logo. The new logo was designed by Tom Roskelly, a Portsmouth resident and a Nationally recognized advertising consultant. The logo represents the view of our Society Museum Building that recognized as it sits atop a hill at the corner of Union Street
The Portsmouth History Center Web Site has been launched. It is designed to be the “jumping off” point for access to Portsmouth History information.
We have just launched a new Historical Society Web Site. It is being managed under the Portsmouth History Center. The Portsmouth History Center Web site is now the central “jumping off” point for all the ways to get information on Portsmouth’s rich history.
