The Old Town Hall was resided with new red cedar shingles – good for the next 50 years

The Navy Band Northeast Brass Quintet grace the beautiful PHS Hall on June 28, 2019. Over 75 guests enjoyed a wonderful concert that had selections that spanned the world.

The Society’s Annual Members Meeting was held at the Society’s Museum Hall on Monday June 17, 2019.  Outgoing President Jim Garman greeted members and provided an update on the status of the Society.  Nancy Crawford provided information on two new paintings that have been acquired. Gloria Schmidt gave a wonderful talk on Portsmouth stone walls.  

The PHS Trivia Night was held at the Valley Inn on April 11, 2019.

Rich Talipsky and Dave Duggan recently took on the task of replacing all the incandescent bulbs in the Museum and Old Town Hall with high efficiency LED bulbs.

Jim Garman, PHS President was honored as one of Portsmouth’s Citizens of the Year at a recent Portsmouth Grange ceremony held at the Portsmouth Multi-purpose Senior Center.

On Saturday November 17, 2019 PHS Members and the Portsmouth Garden Club gathered to dedicated planting at the Society Museum that were donated by the Garden Club.
