The Battle of Rhode Island Association Lecture Series, sponsored by the Massachusetts Society of the Cincinnati and the Portsmouth Historical Society will hold its next lecture at the Portsmouth Historical Society on Thursday, September 5th at 6:30 PM.

The speaker, Don Hagist, will give a presentation titled after his book, British Soldiers, American War: Voices of the American Revolution. Very few British soldiers who served in America left their own writings. Hagist details first-hand accounts of nine soldiers who served in America in the 1770s and 1780s.

Don N. Hagist, managing editor of Journal of the American Revolution, is an independent researcher specializing in the demographics and material culture of the British Army in the American Revolution.

This talk is free and open to the public. Donations are gladly accepted. 

Please note that the lecture hall is not handicap accessible.
