Members of the Portsmouth Historical Society were invited to an Open House by Jonathan and Erin Chapman, owners of the Glen Farm Millhouse at 120 Glen Farm Rd, Portsmouth. The couple was recently awarded the 2021 Historic Homeowner Rhody Award from Preserve Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Historical Preservation. They offered an exclusive opportunity to see the exemplary results of their historic renovation on Sunday October 17th for Society members only. The Chapmans purchased the property in November of 2017, and undertook extensive renovations to the former Cundall’s Mills, with the idea of restoring an important piece of local history. The foundation dates back to the mid-1700’s. The property sits on the path of the Mintwater Brook, just on the edge of the woods.
